Caring for Jewellery Products
Gold is one of the most inert elements on the planet. In its pure form it does not rust, interact with other elements or even dissolve in acid (this is one of those "don't try this at home" experiments). However, pure gold is not used in jewellery.
1. Try to guard any jewellery from scratches, sharp blows, harsh chemicals, extreme temperatures and sunlight.

3. DON'T overcrowd your jewelry box. Crowding can result in misplaced or lost jewelry if a small piece falls unnoticed from the case. Occasionally, forcing too much jewelry into the box may even bend a fragile piece or chip a delicate stone.
4. Sterling Silver can be kept in ziplock bags to slow tarnishing. Over time a very nice patina will develop. If you prefer your Sterling Silver to remain shiny, store it in plastic when you aren't wearing it.
5. Pearls should be protected from chemicals such as hair spray, nail polish remover, perfume and other toiletries or cleaning products.
6. Although we use water to clean much of our jewelry, you should thoroughly dry your jewelry after exposure to water, especially before storing it in an enclosed space. Moisture fosters tarnish on silver and can weaken springs and clasps.
Cleaning Tips for Jewellery
1. Tarnish can be removed with a commercial jewelry cleaner or with soap and water with a few drops of ammonia. Brush the cleaning solution into the gold with a small brush (a toothbrush works well). After you have finished cleaning, simply rinse the gold with lukewarm water and allow it to dry.
2. Soak your jewelry in hot water mixing in a small amount of dish soap for 5-10 minutes. We recommend swishing your jewelry in the hot water so as to loosen the dirt. Many shops recommend using a soft head bristle brush (old toothbrush) and gently brush the jewelry to remove any build up of dirt. This is also a fairly good method just keep in mind over time that the brush will slowing loosen the diamonds within its setting and may need to be tightened Make sure not to clean too many pieces together at once, as they may scratch each other. After brushing, soak the item for another 5 minutes. Rinse the jewelry thoroughly under lukewarm water. Wipe the items dry on a soft cloth, preferably cotton, taking care not to touch any diamonds if they are in your pieces.
Storing Tips for Jewellery
The key to protecting your jewelry is not only in how you wear your jewelry, but also in the way you store or put your jewelleries.
Give Some Space .
.
.We should give each piece of jewellery its own space. Jewellery can scratch or scuff other metal. Diamonds and other hard gemstones that come in contact with metal or each other can destroy luster, or cause more serious damage. For this reason, we should protect each piece by storing it in it’s own individual box.
Fasten the Clasp ...
For bracelets and necklaces, always fasten the clasp when storing. This will help prevent any tangling that might occur.
Dry,
Dry, Dry ...
Dry your jewelry before placing it in an enclosed space. Moisture fosters tarnish and can weaken springs and clasps. Moreover, certain gemstones are prone to suffer from water damage.
